After catching flack from the distributor reporting that bookstores and newsstands didn't know what section to display Color, and that the untraditional format made it further difficult to find, two consecutive issues came wrapped with a free six-month calendar/poster that would serve the purpose of a backing for the magazine. It was the tail-end of Color's second year in circulation, and commerce was weighing heavily over the art of publishing. The magazine stood its ground and persisted to fight as skaters continued to seek it out. This issue includes the controversial Red Dragon response to Color 2.2's Green Apple article.
