The year was 2006, and Color started it off with and image of Roger AllenÕs broken deck that folds out to reveal the full cover of the first Volume 4 issue in all itÕs gun blazing glory. As an added bonus youÕll get the 2006 Alien/Habitat promo video packaged up with the magazine. Another fold out feature is the Stay Gold fashion story shot by Chris Glancy in NY. This black and white, double-gatefold editorial contains some mighty recognizable faces. And a feature on Canadian mainstay Galea Momolu and an interview with photographer Brian Gaberman rounds out the 1st issue of 2006.
The next two issues have limited, alternate covers, both of which youÕll be getting in your pack. A story on Corey AdamsÕ movie Harvey Spannos starring Rick McCrank inspired one of the covers of the second issue while the other extremely limited print cover is a photo of the Gonz and Natas, shot by Grant Brittain and covered with type by Gonz himself.
The inaugural Shoot to Thrill contest is a major feature in the third issue of Volume 4, which also has two covers Ð a portrait of Andrew Reynolds and a piece by artist Joseph Hart.
The final issue of this Volume is also the first Color Special Edition. The Said and Done issue has perforated pages allowing you to tear out 50 pages of collaborative art prints done for the project by artists including Ben Frost, Porous Walker and Randy Laybourne.
